Effective January 1, 2017, Ontario’s new cap and trade program will put a price on carbon emissions and result in increased costs for most businesses in the province. You can minimize the cost of cap and trade on your business by proactively engaging in activities that reduce your natural gas use and carbon emissions. This presentation, led by Enbridge’s Rocky Mancini, will provide an overview of the new cap and trade program from a natural gas distribution perspective and focus on energy efficiency measures that can be taken to mitigate the financial impact by lowering carbon emissions.
Rocky Mancini, Small Commercial & Industrial Sales Team Lead at Enbridge Gas Distribution
Rocky has been in the energy industry with a focus on consultative sales and customer service for over 14 years; 10 years with Enbridge Gas Distribution – all within Demand Side Management part of the business, focusing on helping commercial customers reduce their consumption of natural gas through adoption of high efficiency technologies and systems. Prior to Enbridge, Rocky spent 2 years with Direct Energy Business Services focusing on energy management through education and adoption of derivative contracts to commercial customers for both natural gas and electricity and HVAC system upgrades. And before that, for 2 years with Ontario Power Generation – focus on education and adoption of derivative contracts for electricity to small and medium commercial/industrial customers. He graduated from University of Toronto with a specialists degree in Geology.
