Kelly Parker, Vice President at BFL Canada
Kelly joined BFL CANADA in their Toronto office in November 2012, bringing 30 years of Surety and Construction expertise to the company and her clients. Kelly’s career has included both brokering and underwriting. She was formerly the National Construction and Surety Practice Leader for a major broker as well as Regional Surety Underwriting Manager for a multi-national insurer. Her experience has included major construction projects such as the Confederation Bridge, Highway 407, Union Pearson Rail Link as well as power generation facilities, commercial office towers, waste/water treatment centers, health and educational buildings, government facilities, environmental remediation, and underground mining. Kelly has also provided/arranged bonds for a variety of manufacturers such as rail cars, interior wall systems, elevator companies, as well as hardware and software providers. In addition, she has developed product solutions that have enhanced her clients’ balance sheets. Kelly is currently Director-at-Large of the Canadian Construction Association and Vice President and Director of the Construction Financial Management Association’s Southern Ontario Chapter. She is also a member of the Ontario Road Builders’ Associate Member Committee and a past Director of the Toronto Construction Association. Kelly has or has held Power of Attorney for most surety companies in Canada, as well as a number of U.S. sureties.
