Tareq Ali is the National Director of Marketing and Communications for the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC). He is responsible for the development of strategic marketing and corporate communications, sustainability, public affairs, and advocacy programs that serve the needs of 7 CISC regions from coast to coast. Tareq is a Marketing and Communications professional with over 20 years of broad based experience in the construction and building materials, healthcare and advertising industries. He has also worked as a Business Development Consultant with the World Greenbuilding Council.

Barry Charnish

Barry is a founding Principal of Entuitive and specializes in large-scale commercial, residential and institutional projects, working closely with architectural firms, developers and construction clients. With nearly 40 years of experience in consulting engineering, Barry is a seasoned professional who retains his enthusiasm for each and every project. He has worked on large, complex structures in Canada, the United States, China and Germany, and is recognized for his expertise in tall building design. Barry’s projects include cultural centres, hotel and residential structures, commercial high rises, government buildings, and educational and institutional facilities. Contributing to the profession is important to Barry, and he has helped develop quality assurance standards for the engineering industry. Also, Barry publishes articles and gives lectures on high-rise building design.

Holly Jordan

, Senior Associate at B+H Architects
B. Arch. Eng., M. Arch., OAA, EIT, LEED AP BD+C, MRAIC

Holly joined B+H in 2011 and has more than a decade of experience with commercial, institutional, and residential projects in Canada and the United States. Drawing on her professional degrees in both engineering and architecture, she is committed to finding innovative, sustainable approaches to all stages of design – from early conceptual development through to final detail solutions. Her roles have included conceptual design development, site and environmental analysis, project management, consultant coordination, contract administration and authority submissions. Building on her contributions to sustainable design, Holly serves on the Canada Green Building Council – Greater Toronto Chapter Board of Directors and on its Toronto-based Advocacy Committee. She also leads B+H’s in-house research and development group, B+Hink (“BThink”). Her recent projects include the University of Windsor Ed Lumley Centre for Engineering Innovation, the Hamilton Soccer Stadium (now the Tiger-Cats Tim Hortons Field), and the Rideau Centre Expansion Project.

Paul Mikolich

, Canadian Sales Director at Gerdau Long Steel North America

Paul Mikolich has worked for Gerdau North America for over 32 years. During his tenure, he has held many positions in the Sales and Marketing group along with over 5 years in Government relations. He has travelled extensively throughout North America visiting all levels of the steel supply chain. He has resided throughout his career in Ontario and is currently the Canadian Sales Manager – Merchant and Beams for Gerdau North America.
